![]() Another mod.Īnd it is the nature of this mod, the way it fixes the bug, that suggests to me it's a Firaxis mistake. XCOM 2 PROVING GROUNDS MODSRather than disable each of the 70 mods I have subscribed to, one by one, and laboriously testing each one by running through a single proving ground research cycle from my current save, doing who knows what damage to my game by changing so many files back and forth, I found this useful fix, above. I have since disabled LW and started a new campaign with many of the mods still installed that were both LW and vanilla compatible (and a very few new ones), and discovered I was affected by this bug. The bug didn't occur on my first playthroughs, and it didn't occur when I played with a host of mods, including the Long War. XCOM 2 PROVING GROUNDS MODIf that's the case, you shouldn't say it's firaxis' fault, but the mod's maker I agree, that a mod might be causing this. Although i hadnt noticed it was bugged till a week later, cause i dont use it to often outside of armor. It felt to cheaty for me so i uninstalled it, but thats when the proving ground problem started for me. Was a choose your proving ground item, when you resarch ammo and stuff you pick which you want. If that's the case, you shouldn't say it's firaxis' fault, but the mod's maker I had a mod that i subed for no more then 15 mins. Also, the fix mod's description talks about the issue being caused by a mod. It is not retroactive so any Proving Ground research into experimental ammo (at least) done prior to installing this mod remains fruitless (only if the bug has affected your game, of course).Ĭome on, Firaxis! This kind of bug should be patched already! We shouldn't have to subscribe to a workshop mod to fix your mistake.Īre you sure the base game was the issue, and not mods you had installed? I know OP said that no mods were affecting it, but I don't think it happens to people without mods installed.
